The Service Advisor is responsible for maintaining communication with customers regarding their vehicle's status and promoting additional services when appropriate. Responsibilities

  • Greets all customers promptly and provides timely professional service.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty by departing from traditional service methods.
  • Listens to customer inquiries and requests to provide excellent customer service.
  • Estimates cost and completion time, settling customer accounts effectively.
  • Communicates with customers about the status of their vehicle's work.
  • Coordinates activities to ensure repair work is completed correctly and on time.
  • Obtains written approval from customers on all repair orders during write-up or when closing additional sales.
  • Inspects every finished repair order for proper completion, pricing accuracy, and legibility.
  • Meets or exceeds goals for add-on sales and OEM Customer Satisfaction Index expectations.
  • Delivers the right car in perfect condition every time.
  • Identifies and treats repeat and first-time customers accordingly.
  • Contacts customers to remind them of service appointments and scheduled maintenance.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously, satisfying caller inquiries.
  • Documents repair order changes and eliminates surprises for customers by reviewing service repairs and charges.
  • Addresses and resolves customer viewpoint and service follow-up issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills and experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology.
  • Proficiency in estimating costs and managing repair orders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in automotive retail or service advising.
  • Familiarity with OEM Customer Satisfaction Index metrics.
