About the position
The Sales and Service Advisor at Sun Auto Tire & Services is responsible for promoting and selling automotive products and services while ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves greeting customers, assessing their service needs, providing accurate quotes, and maintaining communication throughout the service process. The advisor plays a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally in person and on the phone.
- Document customer concerns and inspect vehicles to identify service needs.
- Recommend services based on knowledge and customer needs.
- Communicate additional recommendations from technicians to customers.
- Document all recommendations in customer files.
- Promote sales of services, parts, and accessories.
- Provide accurate quotes including cost and time for services.
- Update customers on the status of their services throughout the day.
- Review completed inspections and explain warranties during checkout.
- Conduct follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction after services are performed.
- Track returns, core returns, and warranty parts for customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Professional appearance and ability to work in a process-driven environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience as a Service Advisor is helpful but not required.
- Experience in sales.
