About the position

The Service Advisor/Writer at Campers Inn RV is responsible for interacting with customers to schedule service work and communicate any additional services needed for their RVs. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction and requires effective communication skills to address customer concerns and provide updates on service progress. The position is integral to maintaining the company's reputation for excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Identify RV problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms.
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explain provisions and exclusions.
  • Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculate customer's payment, including deductibles.
  • Prepare repair orders (RO).
  • Handle customer complaints and maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Periodically check on the progress of the vehicle during servicing and contact the customer as needed to keep them up to date with their RV's status.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year's RV service experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as required, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to superior customer service.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office equipment.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn company systems applications, including Motility Systems2K, and other software applicable.
  • Ability to safely handle solvents and chemicals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to move RVs of various sizes.
  • Ability to organize various physical tasks through adjusting, climbing ladders, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, or bending.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
