The Service Advisor at Milford Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram serves as a crucial link between clients and service technicians, ensuring a seamless service experience. This role involves greeting clients, understanding their vehicle issues, scheduling appointments, and providing accurate cost estimates. The Service Advisor is responsible for maintaining positive client relationships and ensuring effective communication between clients and technicians to facilitate timely repairs and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and listening to their requests.
• Scheduling clients' appointments and estimating costs.
• Verifying clients' insurance and conducting pre-write up vehicle inspections.
• Consulting with technicians regarding necessary repairs and alternatives to expensive repairs.
• Providing clients with information on warranty protections and potential cost savings.
• Managing the dealership's workflow and schedule in conjunction with the Service Manager.
• Calling clients to advise them about service changes or car pick-up times.
• Maintaining positive client relationships to ensure repeat business.
• Processing payments and ensuring all service details are communicated to clients.
• Liaising with service technicians about parts ordering.

Requirements

• An Associate's degree in Mechanics or a related field may be advantageous.
• Experience in the automotive field may be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry.
• Proficiency with industry-specific software (DealerTrack and WiAdvisor).
• Excellent client service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, clients, and management.
• A positive attitude under all circumstances.
