About the position

The position involves ensuring compliance with California Labor Code and all wage and hour laws, including compensating employees for all hours worked, providing meal, rest, and recovery periods, and maintaining accurate time records. The role also requires adherence to state and federal laws related to equal employment, pay equity, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and reasonable accommodations. Additionally, the position includes customer service responsibilities such as greeting customers, consulting with service technicians, and providing information about services and repairs. The individual will manage the dealership's workflow and schedule, maintain positive customer relationships, and ensure effective communication between customers and service technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with California Labor Code and all wage and hour laws.
  • Comply with all state and federal laws regarding equal employment and pay equity.
  • Greet customers and direct them to available technicians.
  • Consult with Service Technicians regarding necessary repairs and alternatives.
  • Provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers.
  • Answer questions about service outcomes and scheduling.
  • Provide customers with information on warranty protections and cost savings.
  • Manage and oversee the Dealership's workflow and schedule.
  • Call customers to advise them about service changes or car pick-up times.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Ensure all details on services rendered and costs are communicated to customers and process payments.
  • Serve as a liaison between Service Technicians and customers regarding parts ordering.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a customer-oriented environment.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Good driving record required.
  • Class A (CDL) drivers' license is mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of cars and maintenance is necessary.
  • Willingness to learn and expand knowledge.
