About the position

The Service Advisor at Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by coordinating repair requests, estimating costs, and assisting the Service Manager with various clerical duties. This position requires strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage customer interactions and shop operations, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly manner and coordinate repair requests.
• Estimate repair costs within set guidelines.
• Assist the Service Manager with clerical duties, including warranty documentation and repair order filing.
• Coordinate customer repair orders with the Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment.
• Ensure customers receive expedient service by understanding their repair requests.
• Work with the Service Manager to resolve disputes and warranty issues in a timely manner.
• Complete and execute all necessary documentation for labor sales (customer, internal, and warranty).
• Input repair order information into the data processing system and close repair orders.
• Maintain and administer shop tool and supply requirements.
• Inform the Service Manager of customer complaints for resolution before vehicle departure.
• Advise customers on needed service work and suggest additional labor, parts, and body shop sales.
• Participate in training to stay updated on technical and warranty issues.
• Assist in maintaining a clean shop and office area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Mid-level CDL (preferred)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a related field
• Computer skills (preferred)
• Strong customer relations and communication skills
• Good leadership abilities
• Positive can-do attitude
