About the position

The Sales and Service Porter position involves working at motor vehicle dealerships to manage the appearance and orderliness of vehicles on the lot. This role includes responsibilities such as parking vehicles, checking for damage, and maintaining cleanliness through washing and polishing. The position requires effective communication and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to work outdoors and handle various tasks related to vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Receive, move, arrange, and maintain the appearance of vehicles.
• Park vehicles in assigned areas and check them for damage.
• List and store keys for vehicles.
• Wash and polish car interiors and exteriors.
• Apply soap solution, scrape loose dirt, clean tires, rinse with a hose, dry, dust, and vacuum car interiors.
• Remove trash, clean seats, and polish vehicles.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUIs and no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years).
• Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to work outdoors continuously.
• Ability to move in and out of vehicles with high frequency.
• Ability to frequently stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and lift up to 5 lbs.
• Ability to operate various equipment to clean vehicles.
• Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
