About the position

As a Service & Assembly Technician at Apollo, you will work independently across various retail locations to maintain the furniture display area, ensuring it looks 'showroom ready'. This part-time role offers flexibility in hours, primarily during weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the potential for additional assembly work based on market needs. You will be responsible for performing in-store tasks, including light cleaning, minor repairs, and inventory management, while also completing detailed reports after each service call. This position is ideal for those who prefer hands-on work and enjoy being on the move rather than confined to a desk.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the furniture department at different retail locations
• Perform in-store tasks including light dusting, vacuuming, and making minor repairs to display items
• Complete special projects as assigned and manage inventory
• Follow protocols to ensure the safety of all display items
• Complete an in-depth report on the store kiosk after each service call
• Position furniture to create a customer-ready display
• Utilize the plan-o-gram for organization and identify missing items
• Build trust with store managers through knowledge of company policies
• Complete furniture assemblies after service visits as needed
• Participate in projects in other retailers as requested by the manager

Requirements

• Must have own reliable transportation to travel 30 to 60 miles to multiple store locations each day
• In some markets, a basic tool set is required
• Effective communication skills with customers, team members, and management
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift 50 lbs throughout the day
• Must work hours between 8 AM and 5 PM Monday - Friday, with flexibility for weekends and evenings
• Ability to read diagrams or instructions and use hand and power tools
• Must be 18 years or older
