About the position

The Service Assistant role at P.F. Chang's is a part-time position responsible for supporting restaurant operations, including cleaning, running food, and assisting with catering orders. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service and aims to enhance the dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Guiding guests through their experience while taking, placing, and reviewing orders for takeout and catering.
• Understanding the restaurant menu to identify different menu items for takeout and catering, and guiding guests in their choices.
• Reviewing orders with the guest or delivery driver to ensure order accuracy.
• Delivering an exceptional hospitality experience by anticipating and exceeding guests' expectations.
• Clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing restaurant tables, bussing dishes to the kitchen dishwasher station, and resetting tables as needed.
• Restocking, cleaning, and maintaining all restaurant stations.
• Understanding the restaurant seating layout and how to deliver food within the restaurant.
• Serving food or beverages for dine-in and takeout.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment, including coffee machines, iced tea machines, and point of sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
