About the position

The Service Associate - Groundskeeper is responsible for the daily maintenance of the pool and grounds within an apartment community. This role requires a proactive attitude and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and visitors. The position involves various tasks including trash removal, pool maintenance, and assisting with cleaning duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash from office areas and common areas of the apartment community daily.
• Clean and maintain the pool on a daily basis.
• Monitor and maintain the proper chemical balance of pool water.
• Update pool logs and records as necessary.
• Check gates to the pool area for proper operation and ensure they are secured.
• Clean carpets in vacant and occupied units as directed by Lead Maintenance.
• Water property plants, flowers, and grass as needed.
• Report any malfunctions of the irrigation system to the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Perform power washing as preventative maintenance.
• Assist with trash removal from vacant units.
• Help the Housekeeper with cleaning office, grounds, common areas, and vacant apartments.

Requirements

• Six months of stable employment in customer service or a related field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Ability to learn specific skills on-the-job.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with carpet/steam cleaning machines and wet-dry vacuums.
• Familiarity with pool chemical testing procedures and kits.
• Previous experience with tools and equipment needed for apartment maintenance.
