About the position

The position involves managing supply planning for AppleCare, focusing on ensuring the right parts are delivered at the right time to meet customer demands. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to coordinate with various teams globally to optimize supply chain processes and improve performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for AppleCare Supply planning for WW and AMR region for one or more products or commodities.
• Coordinate weekly conference calls with Europe and Asia-Pacific teams to sync on supply-demand matching regionally and globally.
• Publish weekly factory forecast, ensuring deltas and gaps are clearly communicated and bridged.
• Run What if Simulations to optimize material/capacity constraints while minimizing impact to customer happiness.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as finished goods planning and factory operations teams to ensure sufficient capacities and materials to meet supply requirements.
• Optimize planning process, implement weekly new buy and repair plans to minimize future gaps and improve inventory turns.
• Maintain planning system master data and initiate Engineering Change requests based on material life cycle.
• Responsible for key performance metrics such as backlog, fill rate, inventory turn, and vendor forecast accuracy.
• Analyze forecasted demand and inventory, developing weekly supply plans that meet customer demands.
• Analyze and resolve product backlogs and fill rates daily.
• Identify problem areas and drive appropriate functional groups to correct them.
• Build allocation plans for constraint products, dealing effectively with both internal customer & supplier queries.
• Oversee key cross-functional projects, communicate project timelines and impacts to the team.

Requirements

• More than 3 years of experience in supply/demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, or supply chain management.
• Knowledge of ERP planning solutions is crucial.
• Strong analytical capabilities and leadership skills.
• Effective communication, influencing, and negotiation skills in a matrix organization.
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically with attention to detail.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration to achieve outstanding customer service in a complex environment.
• Consistent track record in delivering on operational KPIs while leading projects and initiatives.
• High proficiency in Excel and ability to learn technical applications quickly.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Reporting tools such as Business Objects, Tableau or similar is a plus.
