About the position

The Service Desk Analyst at Kodiak Building Partners is responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support to ensure customer productivity and information security. This role involves identifying root causes of issues and resolving them using best practices, while assisting users with their desktop support needs. The analyst will handle technical hardware and software support, maintain records of software licensing, and ensure compliance with related laws.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite and remote device support for all headquarter and branch customers in multiple work settings and environments.
  • Monitor and answer helpdesk phone/tickets during business hours and respond accordingly.
  • Install software to initialize PCs, perform upgrades, patches, and revisions.
  • Regularly check across end-point management systems for virus updates and software distribution to servers and workstations.
  • Provide a variety of hardware repair functions and liaise with suppliers.
  • Diagnose, repair, and/or replace memory, hard drives, etc.
  • Pull cable, locate and relocate PCs, printers, and other hardware, coordinating with service providers and vendors as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support headquarters and subsidiary customers.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3+ years related experience in technical support, some networking/telecom, systems administration, and cloud service administration preferred.
  • Customer service focused technical professional proficient in Microsoft operating systems and associated hardware.
  • Network wired and wireless best practices troubleshooting, device provisioning, management, and administration.
  • Peripheral hardware support, support for cloud and hosted services including Office365, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Dropbox.
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
