The Service Desk Representative plays a crucial role in assisting customers with IT applications, products, and services. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues, ensuring effective solutions are provided, and maintaining communication with users. The role supports the mission of Community Health Systems to deliver quality healthcare and build strong relationships with patients.

  • Professionally represent IT staff and services to the client community.
  • Answer questions and troubleshoot issues with software, hardware, and printers.
  • Educate customers on functionality and policies.
  • Engage in in-depth troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
  • Resolve Level 1 and Level 2 work orders and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Record and update customer and problem information in the internal ticketing system.
  • Ensure tickets are documented with journal entries and resolved with appropriate completion notes.
  • Assist with PC imaging and deployment to users, supporting hardware setup and configuration.
  • Work on Help Desk-related projects assigned by the IT Director and verify the effectiveness of solutions through follow-up communication.
  • A minimum of two years experience in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, or equivalent training and/or education required.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
