The Remote Senior Service Engineer position involves providing field service support for a leading precision CNC cutting tool manufacturer. The role is primarily remote, with travel mainly within a one-hour radius of metro areas, allowing for most nights at home. The company values self-initiating engineers who are passionate about mechanical competence and self-improvement, and who can handle customer challenges independently.
Responsibilities
- Provide field service support for CNC machines and tools.
- Travel to customer sites primarily within a one-hour radius of metro areas.
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on CNC machines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machine controls and components.
- Ensure alignment and leveling of machine parts according to OEM specifications.
- Document service activities and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in field service engineering or a related role.
- Strong mechanical competence and understanding of CNC machines.
- Experience with 5-axis repair and knowledge of headstock alignment.
- Familiarity with controls such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, AB, Siemens.
- Certifications related to CNC machinery and controls.
