About the position

The Service Field Engineer (SFE) at Ford AV is responsible for consulting with clients to maintain, diagnose, and repair audio/visual systems. This role involves providing quality customer service, utilizing technical skills to address service calls, and ensuring timely repairs across various client sites. The SFE plays a crucial role in enhancing the client experience through technical expertise and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to maintain, diagnose, and repair A/V systems.
• Provide quality customer service to diverse clientele.
• Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment for repairs.
• Attend to service calls and work orders in a timely manner.
• Visit an average of two to three client sites per day.

Requirements

• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot A/V or technology systems.
• Programming experience with Crestron/AMX.
• Prior experience installing/repairing commercial A/V systems (sound, video, lighting, projection).
• Experience processing work orders/Service tickets.
• Ability to communicate technical issues and resolution plans clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Associates degree or higher in electronics or related field preferred.
