About the position
The Peggs Company is seeking Traveling Service Helpers to assist in maintaining and repairing shopping carts, point of purchase displays, and back room equipment at customer sites. This role involves traveling with a Lead Service Technician to various locations, performing tasks such as pressure washing and repairing rolling racks and carts used in grocery and retail environments. The position requires physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to maintain and repair shopping carts and equipment.
- Pressure wash rolling racks and carts used by grocery and retail stores.
- Assist Lead Service Technician in various repair tasks.
- Utilize power tools for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Requirements
- Experience with power tools is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and moving equipment.
- Comfortable using smartphones, computers, and electronic devices.
- Clean and insurable driving record is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with wire feed welding is helpful but not required.
