About the position

The Service & Installation Technician at Cencora is responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through the installation, maintenance, and support of Micro Weigh Systems and related technologies. This role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and user training, while also providing sales support to maximize customer value and revenue. The technician will engage in various technical tasks including electrical work, plumbing, and welding, while maintaining compliance with FDA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Build trust and influence with customers while maintaining relationships with integrity.
• Provide preventative maintenance, onsite and remote service and support for Micro Weigh Systems.
• Optimize customer benefits from systems and solutions offered.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems related to equipment and systems.
• Install parts and perform electrical work, plumbing, welding, and fabrication as needed.
• Transport and deliver equipment to customer sites.
• Maintain and adjust dosage for feed additives through Micro Weigh System software based on specifications.
• Perform standard operational tests under protocol guidelines and maintain FDA files for customers.
• Train customer staff on equipment operation and inventory control procedures, including FDA guidelines.
• Educate customer management on new products and programs to drive increased sales.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing, welding, and fabrication is required.
• Experience with feed yard operations is helpful.
• Proficient in using power tools and volt meters.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and set up computer programs.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and knowledge of software applications.
• Good customer service skills and a sense of urgency are required.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record is required.
• CDL is preferred or must be able to obtain a CDL license.
