About the position

The Primary Care Service Line Manager at M Health Fairview is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Fridley Primary Care Clinic. This full-time managerial role involves planning, managing, and evaluating clinic activities, ensuring quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management. The manager will work closely with directors to implement strategic priorities, lead day-to-day operations, and foster a supportive work environment while enhancing customer satisfaction and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, coordinate, and evaluate activities of the assigned area including resource management and quality assurance.
  • Work in partnership with Directors to implement and sustain strategic priorities of the service line.
  • Lead day-to-day operations and support the mission, goals, and objectives of the clinic.
  • Serve as a role model to staff, using critical thinking to make decisions and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Handle change using a planned, orderly approach and implement problem-solving mechanisms in routine and emergency situations.
  • Incorporate research findings in planning activities for clinical areas.
  • Manage human resources to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.
  • Implement and communicate Human Resources policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
  • Select top talent and conduct timely employee performance appraisals.
  • Ensure completion of training for employees, including orientation and in-services.
  • Plan and approve unit staff hour schedules according to pre-established parameters.
  • Manage the fiscal operations of the clinic to ensure accurate utilization of financial resources.
  • Develop and provide input into the budget according to established procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and investigate alternatives to the established budget for efficient resource use.
  • Educate patient care team members on financial implications of patient care decisions.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies within the service line and ensure quality supervision exists for assigned areas.
  • Build a culture of quality and continuous improvement through mentoring supervisors and staff.
  • Exemplify excellent customer relations in interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, and employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in health care or related field.
  • 3 or more years of leadership experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced Degree in healthcare or related field.
  • Supervisory/Management experience.
  • Excellent customer service, public relations, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently with fluctuating workloads.
  • Flexibility to work at other sites.
