About the position

The Service Manager at our rapidly growing Ag Equipment dealership in Elgin, Texas, is responsible for overseeing the service department's operations. This role requires a forward-thinking individual with technical and logistical expertise to manage service work efficiently, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and adhere to a priority system for scheduling all service work.
  • Ensure that all manufacturer warranty claims are completed and filed in a timely manner.
  • Schedule and assign job and work areas to employees according to their skills and knowledge, and the customer need.
  • Order parts as needed.
  • Coordinate training for service department staff.
  • Monitor monthly metrics to assure achievement of departmental goals.
  • Show the same amount of care and respect to the owner of one piece of equipment as you would to a $20 million customer.

  • Proven communication and leadership skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency.
  • Must work well in a team environment, interacting regularly with all departments.
