About the position

The Service Manager/Business Analyst role focuses on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) while ensuring compliance with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). This position involves supporting the development and mapping of various services, configuring service mapping for ServiceNow applications, and documenting relationships between IT infrastructure and business services. The role also emphasizes communication with stakeholders and identifying opportunities for improvement within the CMDB.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the CMDB along with ensuring compliance with the CSDM.
  • Support the development of Application Services, Business Services, Technical Services, and their corresponding mappings and integrations.
  • Define & Map Business Capabilities to Business Applications.
  • Configure/manage Service Mapping to make all ServiceNow applications service-aware using the CSDM framework.
  • Identify and document the relationships between IT infrastructure, services, and business services, ensuring accurate representation in the CSDM.
  • Effectively communicate insights into the data.
  • Support the deployment of automated processes and the underlying digital operating procedures.
  • Handle communication with multiple stakeholders.
  • Find opportunities to improve and enhance the existing CMDB.

Requirements

  • Experience with CMDB and CSDM.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow and Service Maps.
  • ITOM experience is preferred.
  • Background in Assets Management.
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, find patterns, and draw conclusions from data sets to develop summaries and actionable insights.
