About the position

The Commercial Service Manager will oversee the daily operations of the commercial service department at Overhead Door Company of Atlanta. This role involves managing scheduling, project management, and labor costs while ensuring customer satisfaction and departmental profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and enjoy interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the commercial service department.
• Monitor daily scheduling, customer activity, departmental profitability and the efficient flow of daily business transactions.
• Review workload and manpower to meet customer commitments in a cost effective manner.
• Ensure that projects are completed timely, below budget and to the satisfaction of the customer.
• Review monthly financial/operational reports and work with front-line managers to develop action plans to improve.
• Monitor departmental budgets, inventory, fleet, marketing programs, and competitors.
• Assist with hiring, training and developing new employees.
• Perform employee performance reviews and provide necessary employee counseling with targeted improvement action plans.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, highly preferred.
• Responsible for communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction levels consistently exceed expectations.
• Review customer survey data, respond to customer concerns.
• Possess an ability for technical applications and mechanical systems.
• Must possess a Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
