About the position

As an Apartment Maintenance Supervisor at MAA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our apartment homes and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. In this role, you will report directly to the Property Manager and will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance team to ensure that all property facilities and apartment units are in good working order. Your primary responsibilities will include responding promptly and courteously to service requests, ensuring an adequate supply of market-ready apartments to meet leasing demands, and maintaining the property appearance to meet or exceed MAA standards. Additionally, you will assist in hiring, training, and developing the assigned maintenance staff, which may include painters and landscaping personnel. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the maintenance team to ensure the repair and maintenance of property facilities and apartment units.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to service requests from residents.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of market-ready apartments to meet leasing demand.
  • Maintain property appearance to meet or exceed MAA standards.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and developing assigned maintenance staff, including painters and landscaping staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and three to five years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair required, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • HVAC experience required.
  • EPA Type II or EPA Universal license required.
  • For Florida locations, CAMT license required at time of hire or by the next professional examination and licensing opportunity.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of residence required.
  • One to three years of Supervisory experience preferred.
