About the position

The Service Manager at Roofcrafters is responsible for the overall management of the service and repair department, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality customer service. This role involves supervising repair technicians, managing customer repairs, and maintaining effective communication with clients. The Service Manager will also oversee scheduling, training, and performance evaluations of service crews, while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Addressing customer complaints and needs in a timely manner with urgency.
  • Scheduling callbacks, repairs, and maintenance daily as they arise.
  • Utilizing and maintaining the job tracking system and sheets provided by the Director of Production.
  • Maintaining detailed job notes in Acculynx.
  • Prioritizing customer communication by quickly returning calls and notifying customers of changes or new information.
  • Scheduling and dispatching field personnel daily with logistical efficiency.
  • Supervising field employees through job site visits.
  • Reviewing job tickets to confirm quality, safety, and customer service.
  • Maintaining vehicle and equipment.
  • Reviewing service technician productivity, quality, and overall performance.
  • Conducting regular training sessions to increase knowledge and efficiency.
  • Discussing safety-related topics, inspections, and documentation regularly.
  • Handling invoicing and material purchasing.
  • Creating management reports such as profitability reports.
  • Motivating and inspiring employees.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the roofing/construction industry.
  • Strong field functional knowledge.
  • Service office supervising experience.
  • Experience with scheduling.
  • Ability to budget, measure, and organize.
  • Logistics experience is a plus.
  • Good driving record, must be obtained from DMV by employee.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general emailing.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently with minimal supervision.
