About the position

The Service Manager at Serra Automotive Group is responsible for overseeing the service department, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and managing service personnel. This role involves maintaining strong customer relationships, setting departmental goals, and staying informed about new automotive products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in servicing, repairing, and explaining each service needed.
  • Understand customer requirements and concerns to match them with various service options.
  • Explain services being performed and keep customers informed throughout the service process.
  • Stay up to date on new products, features, and accessories, and attend product training as required.
  • Maintain a service customer follow-up system to support repeat and referral business and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Hire and supervise all service department personnel, monitoring their performance in servicing customers.
  • Craft goals and objectives for the department, including an annual operating budget and a marketing plan to promote new business.
  • Maintain a high Customer Service Index (CSI) rating by addressing customer complaints promptly and appropriately.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a service manager.
  • Strong focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • High school diploma or higher education.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Driven personality, eager to improve and able to work within and support internal teams.
