About the position

The ServiceNow Application Developer II is responsible for managing the ServiceNow System Administration and development, which includes the administration, operation, education, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. This role serves as a developer and technical subject matter expert, partnering with stakeholders to develop workflows, perform needs assessments, and assist in solution development. The position also involves being part of the on-call function of the Incident/Change team, ensuring the health and compliance of ServiceNow applications, and providing support to users.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the ServiceNow System Administration and development.
  • Serve as a developer and technical subject matter expert for the ServiceNow system.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop workflows and perform needs assessments.
  • Assist in solution development and influence organizational change.
  • Participate in the on-call function of the Incident/Change team.
  • Manage the health, administration, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
  • Configure and enhance core applications including Service Catalog, Service Portal, Knowledge Base, and Reporting.
  • Support implemented and proposed solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Load, manipulate, and maintain data, and API integration between ServiceNow and other systems.
  • Develop ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML, and CSS.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Create and maintain a detailed view of the ServiceNow architecture.
  • Deploy features and ServiceNow releases.
  • Make recommendations and participate in implementing ServiceNow requirements.
  • Provide timely and courteous support to users.
  • Collaborate with team members to design best solutions for technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Studies or other technical discipline and three (3) years related experience; OR seven (7) years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Experience working with a wide range of web-based technologies.
  • Experience using software best practices to develop ServiceNow solutions and workflows.
  • Experience with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB and knowledge management applications.

  • Experience with ServiceNow development best practices.
  • Familiarity with various web-based technologies.
