About the position

The ServiceNow Application Engineer at Vantage Data Centers is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the ServiceNow platform. This role involves technical design, configuration, and architectural definition, as well as collaborating with key business units to define and implement workflows and solutions. The engineer will also promote continuous improvement processes and support the day-to-day operations of the ServiceNow platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the ServiceNow system in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Ensure system functionality meets customer requirements and provide solutions for complex issues.
  • Identify business needs and translate them into technical specifications for system requirements.
  • Document new solutions and prepare for implementation within the organization.
  • Participate in ServiceNow upgrades and collaborate with other developers for enhancements.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and perform quality assurance checks.
  • Present release notes and facilitate training for new processes and solutions.
  • Collect user feedback and prioritize configuration requests with the ServiceNow team.
  • Analyze functional and systems requirements to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for system monitoring and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct experience developing ServiceNow solutions and supporting operations.
  • 3+ years of experience integrating ServiceNow with other solutions using REST APIs and Integration Hub.
  • 3+ years of experience with the Identification and Reconciliation process.
  • 3+ years of experience coding in JavaScript, HTML, XML, and some Ajax.
  • 3+ years of experience with relational databases.
  • Proven understanding of systems and experience with platforms like Workday, Yardi, Procore, Primavera.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills to interact with various partners.
  • Ability to learn and understand Agile methodology and document system requirements.
  • Solid project management and interpersonal skills with experience in technology projects.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to empathize with users.
