About the position

The ServiceNow Architect role at KTek Resourcing involves designing and programming modules within the ServiceNow platform as part of the Service Management ecosystem development team. This position requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts across the organization. The architect will engage in technical discussions, maintain code quality, and provide support for business-critical incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with Sr. Architects, Data Scientists, Businesses & Product Managers
  • Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimate and justify the estimate with facts
  • Demonstrate understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and distinguish core inputs and outputs in each cycle
  • Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding
  • Work closely with peers in a fast-paced technical design and development team
  • Execute in a fast-paced delivery mode and focus on delivering tasks to meet product release goals
  • Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation
  • Seek and provide feedback on design and development
  • Demonstrate ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment
  • Understand the whole product, its modules and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module
  • Help in designing interfaces and information exchange between modules
  • Possess advanced domain knowledge and show great customer focus
  • Be an expert in processes/methodologies and skilled in build, release & deployment processes
  • Articulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing
  • Be an expert in configuring the tool or writing code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality for the project
  • Be an expert in assessing application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practices
  • Work with Product Owners/Managers to understand product requirements & vision
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support for Business-Critical Incidents as needed

Requirements

  • Experience in designing and programming within ServiceNow
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development methodology
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions and present ideas effectively
  • Experience in maintaining code quality through best practices and unit testing
  • Advanced domain knowledge in ServiceNow and related technologies
  • Expertise in build, release & deployment processes
  • Ability to assess application performance and optimize it
