About the position

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to enhance the Service Portal functionality within our ServiceNow environment. This role focuses on front-end development with some back-end support to deliver an exceptional user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development, particularly in customizing Service Portal for improved self-service features.

Responsibilities

• Customize and enhance the Service Portal to improve user experience.
• Build out the portal experience for existing customized applications.
• Collaborate with the team architect to redesign and build applications within the Service Portal.
• Focus primarily on front-end development (80%) using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Assist the internal team with foundational work on the back end (20%).
• Build custom widgets using AngularJS to enhance the portal's features.
• Work closely with the team architect and other developers on project requirements.
• Provide ongoing support for the Service Portal and other applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow application development, particularly with Service Portal.
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, with hands-on experience in AngularJS.
• Familiarity with Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Script Includes.
• Experience with workflows and flows using the Workflow Editor or Flow Designer.
• Proven experience in building custom widgets and applications within ServiceNow.
