About the position

Speridian Technologies is seeking a ServiceNow Developer for a consulting project with the State of California. This role involves leading the development and implementation of automated workflows within the ServiceNow environment, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and state policies. The position requires a strong background in ServiceNow development, project coordination, and business analysis, with a focus on delivering effective solutions and training to end-users.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the analysis, development, implementation, and training of automated workflows for DGS offices in ServiceNow.
• Conduct process analysis and documentation for changes to existing business process workflows.
• Analyze and document new business process workflows.
• Coordinate project tasks and reporting.
• Facilitate project steering committee meetings.
• Develop, implement, and configure approved processes into ServiceNow workflows.
• Perform data conversion as needed.
• Develop and implement Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Dashboards and reports.
• Upgrade the ServiceNow platform to the latest release version.
• Create and deliver training materials on implemented workflows and configurations.
• Train DGS end-users and provide knowledge transfer to the State technical team.
• Document high-level business requirements and current business process flows.
• Develop traceable requirements and validate them with stakeholders.
• Analyze and verify requirements for completeness and feasibility.
• Create new processes/procedures as needed and document them.
• Produce flow charts and other structured analytic products to communicate issues and decisions.
• Facilitate sessions to define and document KPIs for operational effectiveness.
• Develop and track project schedules, scope, and risks.
• Assist with developing status reports and escalate risks to management.
• Perform project closure activities and document findings.
• Configure the ServiceNow cloud service and apply DGS branding.
• Conduct integration testing on new or updated workflows.
• Support system and user acceptance testing and provide defect resolution.
• Develop release management documentation for production changes.
• Create KPI dashboards and status reports as per business requirements.
• Update Maintenance and Operations documentation based on changes.
• Troubleshoot and mitigate reported defects.
• Provide estimates for new application development projects and peer reviews for code.
• Develop training materials and deliver end-user training sessions.
• Document configuration and implementation procedures for knowledge transfer.
• Plan and document the ServiceNow platform release upgrade process.

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a lead capacity.
• Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
• Experience developing workflows, dashboards, and reports in ServiceNow.
• Experience implementing custom workflow applications and configuring new ServiceNow modules.
