About The Position

The ServiceNow Engineer at Hyatt Hotels Corporation is a key role within the ServiceNow Department, responsible for developing, implementing, and migrating solutions on a mature ServiceNow instance. This position involves collaboration with various teams to enhance Hyatt's IT service management capabilities, ensuring effective delivery of services and solutions. The engineer will leverage their technical skills in ITSM configurations, JavaScript, and HTML to support and improve the ServiceNow platform, contributing to Hyatt's mission of providing exceptional hospitality services.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of work experience in ServiceNow.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, experience, and certification.
  • Hands-on development experience with ServiceNow.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL practices.
  • Web development experience using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular or React, and related technologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of web services (SOAP, REST or JSON).
  • Experience with ServiceNow's Service Portal and CSM modules.
  • Ability to learn new technologies related to the ongoing improvement of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Experience with Agile (or Scale Agile Framework) project management processes is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building ServiceNow solutions in non-IT contexts.
  • Exposure to Configurable Workspaces and UI Builder.
  • Critical thinking and a desire to provide a user-friendly platform to Hyatt internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customer team members to capture business requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
  • Commit to the continuous improvement and learning of development and ServiceNow best practices, tools, and technology.
  • Support and develop in Hyatt's custom Financial and Customer Service modules in ServiceNow.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date documentation on current ITSM processes or Custom Applications, using understandable business language.
  • Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Work directly with ServiceNow Architect- IT and ServiceNow Manager to align the ServiceNow application with IT organization strategy.
  • Collaborate with key Financial Process Owners and leadership on priorities and serve as the main contact on custom applications.
  • Create and lead Hyatt engineered Citizen Developer program opportunities.
  • Participate in Hyatt's Diversity & Inclusion activities.
