About the position

The ServiceNow Engineer at Expedia Group plays a crucial role in enhancing the ServiceNow platform to meet global requirements. This position involves analyzing, designing, testing, and developing projects that improve the user experience for employees. The engineer will work closely with various teams to implement HR lifecycle management events and integrate systems, ensuring seamless operations and data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, test, and develop projects on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Transform global requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions.
  • Design, configure, test, and roll out changes to the ServiceNow HRSD module.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system and integration issues.
  • Partner with upstream/downstream systems and third-party vendors for ServiceNow integrations.
  • Engage with developers, product managers, and support engineers to implement technical solutions.
  • Create detailed runbooks for system processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Information Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience with ServiceNow HRSD and Employee Center configuration/development.
  • Experience in implementing HR lifecycle management events and integrating systems using web services and technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, PowerShell, and Shell.
  • Ability to create ServiceNow reports and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow core concepts and delivered integrations.
  • ServiceNow Certification in Development is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of additional tech platforms, especially Workday and AWS, and their integration with ServiceNow.
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of Agile Methodology, Software Development Lifecycle, and SOX Compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with tools like Jira and ServiceNow for project management.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
