About The Position

The ServiceNow Release Train Engineer at I2X Technologies is a pivotal role responsible for leading an Agile Release Train (ART) to optimize the flow of value and enhance team performance through Lean/Agile methodologies. This position involves managing schedules, facilitating planning sessions, and ensuring effective cross-team collaboration to achieve program objectives. The role requires strong leadership skills to coach teams and drive agile maturity while maintaining transparency and communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • Obtain an active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher (e.g., Security+) within 14 days of hire.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 6-10 years of relevant experience; additional years of work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
  • Experience working with an Agile software development team, managing project deadlines (ideally in a Scrum Master or Development role).
  • Experience briefing leadership and/or customers on project status.
  • Experience communicating with and briefing status to external stakeholders, including customer representatives.
  • Experience using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years' experience with ServiceNow administration, configuration management, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Prior knowledge and experience with ServiceNow's ATFs.
  • Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified.
  • AWS cloud certifications.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the flow of value through an Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Manage schedule execution and plan software/architecture releases for the program.
  • Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning readiness and continuous exploration processes.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration through Scrum of Scrums and other forums.
  • Summarize Team PI objectives into Program PI objectives and publish them for visibility.
  • Track execution of features and capabilities through metrics across agile and DevOps teams.
  • Brief customers on development progress throughout the PI cycle.
  • Understand the large complex software system and assess risks and customer concerns.
  • Coach teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Project/Program Leaders in agile practices.
  • Promote teamwork to achieve PI goals.
  • Lead teams towards agile maturity and escalate impediments.
  • Work with Scrum teams to identify dependencies and critical path items.
  • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks and remove blockers.
  • Collaborate with the contractor Program Management Office (PMO) on program execution test data.
