About the position

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Armanino, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of the ServiceNow platform by partnering with business process owners and stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a liaison between business partners and the IT group, ensuring that the needs of the organization are met through effective systems implementation, upgrades, and enhancements. You will conduct thorough analyses of key requirements, clearly communicating alternatives and recommendations to decision-makers, and documenting business and functional specifications for system development based on user requirements. In this hybrid role, you will participate in cross-functional projects that impact various IT and business processes, working collaboratively with project teams to build new functionalities or enhance existing ones. Your technical tasks will include identifying data needs from various systems, developing requirements documents, and mapping data flows. You will also be responsible for preparing and executing test plans to ensure high-quality results, managing regression and user acceptance testing with users, and proactively refining upstream solutions to prevent downstream issues. This position requires you to work across multiple projects and tasks, successfully prioritizing and delivering results amidst competing business interests. You will be expected to work onsite in any Armanino office location 2-3 times per week, fostering a collaborative environment that integrates your professional and personal life.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business process owners and stakeholders to address process improvement and drive efficiency within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Act as a liaison between business partners and the IT group to support ServiceNow and provide analysis for systems implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
  • Perform analysis of key requirements and clearly communicate alternatives and recommendations to decision-makers.
  • Document business and functional/technical specifications for ServiceNow system development and enhancements based on user requirements.
  • Discuss functional and solution aspects of a project effectively and evaluate challenges.
  • Participate, influence, and drive cross-functional projects that impact various IT and Business processes.
  • Work as a member of a project team on building new functionality and/or enhancing existing functionality.
  • Identify data needs from various systems, develop requirements documents, and document process flows.
  • Work across multiple projects & tasks and successfully prioritize and deliver results in the face of competing business interests.
  • Proactively refine upstream solutions to avoid downstream business or IT process and data issues.
  • Prepare and execute test plans to ensure high-quality results.
  • Manage and coordinate regression and user acceptance testing with users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Technology, related or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience with business analysis and the ServiceNow platform.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with clients (internal or external) gathering requirements, solution design, process improvements, etc.
  • ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) and any additional ServiceNow certifications.
  • ITIL v4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader Certification.
  • Extensive experience in process improvement and process management competencies.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) for functional requirements gathering & modeling techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, along with presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Agile Scrum experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in consultative capabilities by providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving business process and/or technical problems.
