In this position, the Solutions Engineer will execute detailed technical tasks for configuring and customizing the ServiceNow platform, including setting up ITSM modules, developing custom applications, and tailoring user interfaces to improve operational efficiency and user satisfaction. The role also involves utilizing programming languages such as JavaScript, along with ServiceNow APIs, to develop and integrate solutions within the ServiceNow platform, connecting disparate systems and automating workflows. The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues within ServiceNow configurations, custom developments, and integrations, ensuring high system reliability and performance. Additionally, the role includes designing and implementing automation scripts and workflows within ServiceNow to streamline business and IT processes, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy. Maintaining comprehensive documentation for system configurations, custom developments, and integrations is also a key responsibility, along with regularly reviewing and updating solutions to ensure they meet current business needs and leverage new ServiceNow features. Collaboration with IT teams and business stakeholders is essential to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals. The Solutions Engineer will provide technical expertise and support to ensure successful adoption of ServiceNow functionalities. Furthermore, the role requires staying knowledgeable of developments in regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to the functional area, including compliance with corporate policies and ethical standards. Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed technical tasks for configuring and customizing the ServiceNow platform, including setting up ITSM modules, developing custom applications, and tailoring user interfaces.
  • Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, along with ServiceNow APIs, to develop and integrate solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues within ServiceNow configurations, custom developments, and integrations, ensuring high system reliability and performance.
  • Design and implement automation scripts and workflows within ServiceNow to streamline business and IT processes, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, custom developments, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to ensure successful adoption of ServiceNow functionalities.
  • Stay knowledgeable of developments in regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to the functional area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Six (6) years' experience with ServiceNow platform, including configuration, development, and integration.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, REST, SOAP, and ServiceNow development practice.
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to tackling challenges and implementing solutions.
  • Good communication skills, capable of working effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to manage tasks and projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed; able to effectively prioritize and execute while under pressure.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible; able to adjust quickly to new situations and changing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications is preferred.
