About the position

The ServiceNow System Engineer at AT&T Global Public Sector is responsible for developing a comprehensive on-premise enterprise solution for a large managed services contract. This role involves creating technical specifications, managing data between ServiceNow and other systems, and improving system capabilities through automation and workflow enhancements. The engineer will collaborate with IT managers to generate reports and analyze user requirements, ensuring alignment with ITIL/ITSM processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create requirements definitions and technical specifications documentation.
  • Load, manipulate, and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems.
  • Work with IT managers to generate views and reports as needed.
  • Analyze and understand user requirements and current procedures to improve system capabilities.
  • Automate process workflows and address scheduling limitations throughout the development and delivery of the ServiceNow roadmap.
  • Lead a small team to produce results and identify requirements.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience as a System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with ITIL, Agile development, requirements definition, and systems development.
  • Must comply with DoD 8570 IAT, Level 2 (security +).

  • Ability to learn and expand into other related technologies.
  • Strong conflict resolution, analytical, and decision-making skills.
