About the position

The ServiceNow Test Automation Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating testing processes for various devices and systems. This role requires a strong background in test automation, particularly within the ServiceNow platform, and the ability to work independently while providing guidance to project teams. The position is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA, and requires an active TS/SCI with a CI Polygraph security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and arrange labor, schedules, software, and diagnostics for testing and evaluating devices.
  • Specify tests to be performed and provide parameters for sample testing.
  • Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment and procedures.
  • Design, develop, and implement cost-effective testing and troubleshooting methods.
  • Apply subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and recommend alternatives.
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and methods.
  • Analyze complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Lead and provide expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Provide direction and guidance for process improvements and policy establishment.
  • Represent the organization to external customers and clients.
  • Exercise independent judgment within defined policies to achieve objectives.
  • Mentor and guide lower-level employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience with ServiceNow is required.
  • Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer.

Nice-to-haves

  • DoD Directive 8570.01-M Certification preferred.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation preferred.
