About the position

The Service Operations Instructional Designer is responsible for developing multi-modal learning curricula and training programs tailored to various adult learning styles. This role focuses on enhancing the new hire learning experience and improving execution outcomes through creative instructional design. The designer will collaborate with Service Operations leaders to assess training needs and create role-specific training modules that support the performance of the Service Operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and creation of programs tailored to meet organizational objectives and fill identified skills gaps.
  • Develop various training modules including eLearning, instructor-led training, and learner workbooks focused on processes, systems usage, soft skills, business acumen, and technical insurance knowledge.
  • Work closely with Service Operation Leadership to understand needs, impact, and feedback on current training and prioritize future training needs.
  • Create and maintain a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in all development activities, tools, and processes.
  • Evaluate programs and courses to assess effectiveness.
  • Work with Corporate L&D leadership to understand design and delivery of critical training to drive performance.
  • Incorporate feedback to improve employee application post-training.

Requirements

  • Degree in a related field and 3+ years of training experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate clear ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance agency functions and roles to support key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional instructional design skills across multiple delivery methods with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for LMS to support content created.
  • Phenomenal interpersonal and relationship-building skills at all levels within a professional environment.
  • Previous experience in content creation demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and developed voice.
