About the position

The Service Operations Specialist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) plays a crucial role in supporting cyber security daily operations within the Information Technology Solutions Division. This position involves both independent and collaborative work, managing various tasks related to the Cyber Security Program while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. The role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing flexibility to work from home, and requires an active security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Independently and collaboratively perform activities associated with cyber security daily operations.
  • Work closely with the Operations Associate Program Leader and represent the Operations team on CSP initiatives.
  • Serve as a working supervisor and provide direction/guidance to office staff members in support of program-specific missions.
  • Manage CSP document process from beginning to end in support of DOE/NNSA and LFO requirements.
  • Represent the Operations team and program area in management and project meetings.
  • Interact with CSP colleagues, supervisors/leads, and customers to complete objectives.
  • Exercise independent discretion and judgment to define and develop the approach to team interactions.
  • Promote and support plans to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion within the program.

Requirements

  • Active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills necessary for collaboration and information presentation.
  • Ability to interpret client/customer needs, assess requirements, and identify solutions.
  • Experience maintaining service area forms, records, databases, and documents.
  • Experience preparing custom/ad hoc reports and conducting in-depth analysis for management decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, gather, and analyze information for management review.
  • Experience training and mentoring employees, monitoring quality and customer service standards.
  • Experience coordinating multiple work activities and workflows for service operations.
