About the position

The Service Operations Specialist role at Avantor involves working closely with Lab and Production Services professionals to perform customized lab work and research protocols. This position is essential for supporting customers in the biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties associated with operations of Site Services.
• Lead and coordinate the team's efforts to fulfill customer requirements.
• Work closely with management to complete projects such as Standard Operating Procedures and Scopes of Work.
• Train Avantor Lab and Production Services associates on all service offerings.
• Provide SAP Support including customer services, credit rebills, and invoice scrubbing.
• Modify and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators.
• Manage a budget related to expense reports.
• Meet revenue, TOE, safety, performance, and quality goals and objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a business or science-related field preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in inventory control, procurement, shipping and receiving, or inside sales preferred.
• Certifications such as IATA, DOT, OSHA Right to Know, IMDG, Forklift, and Hazwoper are a plus.
• Valid driver's license and transportation required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SAP, Inventory Manager, and Chemical Manager systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
