About the position

The Service Order Clerk is responsible for managing customer service requests related to maintenance and repair orders. This role involves accurately recording customer information, processing service requests, and dispatching orders to the appropriate service technicians. The clerk also maintains records of service calls and follows up on dispatched orders to ensure timely updates and performance tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Receive customer service requests via telephone and Army Maintenance Application (ArMA).
  • Accurately record customer details and repair requests.
  • Create orders in the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
  • Dispatch orders to appropriate service technicians or crews.
  • Maintain records of service calls and work orders.
  • Relay messages and special instructions to mobile crews or personnel.
  • Perform follow-up on dispatched orders to update the performance tracking system.
  • Enter data from time sheets for technicians and status updates of orders.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and service personnel.
  • Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with maintenance request systems, preferably GFEBS.
  • Ability to follow instructions and relay messages accurately.
  • Attention to detail in processing service requests and maintaining records.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a customer service role, particularly in maintenance or repair services.
  • Knowledge of Army Maintenance Application (ArMA) or similar systems.
