About the position
DuBois Chemicals is seeking a high-performing Field Technical Service Representative to support the Pulp & Paper business in the Southeastern U.S. This role focuses on providing technical service and solutions to customers in the fleet wash, surface treatment, and industrial sectors, with an emphasis on lowering operating costs and exceeding customer expectations. The representative will demonstrate the company's core competencies, including communication, customer focus, innovation, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective technical service to support product application at customer sites.
- Manage multiple customers across the assigned geography utilizing various product lines.
- Troubleshoot quality variances from recommended ranges.
- Perform consistent service for equipment repair, replacements, installations, and chemical testing.
- Document communication findings, abnormal conditions, and offer recommendations.
- Resolve customer's technical challenges and assist in improving processes.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional support employees.
- Utilize DuBois eTools, System Surveys, and Cost Calculators.
- Enter relevant information into data collection systems, including chemical test results and inventory levels.
- Maintain safe driving habits while traveling to customer sites.
Requirements
- Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude in electrical and pipefitting preferred.
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in performing technical/mechanical on-site testing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 80%, including some overnight travel.
