About the position
DuBois Chemicals is seeking a Field Technical Service Representative to support its Pulp & Paper business in the Southeastern U.S., specifically in the Georgia, Florida, and Southeast Alabama territories. This role focuses on providing technical service and solutions to customers in various sectors, including fleet wash, surface treatment, and industrial accounts, while emphasizing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective technical service to support product application at customer sites.
- Manage multiple customers across the assigned geography utilizing various product lines.
- Troubleshoot quality variances from recommended ranges.
- Perform consistent service for equipment repair, replacements, installations, and chemical testing.
- Document communication findings, abnormal conditions, and offer recommendations.
- Resolve customer's technical challenges and assist in improving processes.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional support employees.
- Utilize DuBois eTools, System Surveys, and Cost Calculators.
- Enter relevant information into data collection systems, including chemical test results and inventory levels.
- Maintain safe driving habits while traveling to customer sites.
Requirements
- Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude in electrical and pipefitting preferred.
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in performing technical/mechanical on-site testing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 80%, including some overnight travel.
