About the position

The Service Sales Engineer (SSE) position is focused on maximizing the sustainable growth of the VTS business across the Mid-Atlantic Territory. The role involves promoting solution sales of service products to both new and existing customers, aligning with established business plans. This remote position requires a candidate preferably based in Philadelphia, Baltimore, or Northern Virginia, and emphasizes the importance of customer relationships and strategic sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Upsell and promote proactive service products including service plans, pump exchanges, certified units, field services, and parts and oil.
  • Strategically grow the business through analysis and development of the pump install base.
  • Expand market share by seeking new customers and those using competitive products.
  • Plan and prioritize sales activities to achieve financial targets and KPIs, managing personal time and productivity.
  • Create service plans and quotations using the internal quoting tool.
  • Capture and maintain sales data in the CRM platform, including planning appointments, visit reports, leads, opportunities, and quotations.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships at all levels within the territory.
  • Identify and manage distributors and manufacturing representative companies.
  • Collaborate effectively with service and divisional colleagues, managers, and support services.
  • Attend sales meetings and ensure all required actions are undertaken.
  • Undertake ad-hoc project work related to VTS, including new products and marketing campaigns.
  • Provide customer information and feedback regularly.
  • Engage in intensive travel including overnights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years direct sales experience, selling service and/or capital equipment.
  • Exhibit a hunting mentality when sourcing for leads and pursuing goals.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills to build long-term plans for customers and the territory.
  • Strong negotiating and presentation skills.
  • Passion for service and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and ability to learn additional systems.
  • Ability to drive customer success through strong relationships and customer-centric solutions.
  • Capability to improve business results by embracing change and creating innovative solutions.
  • Focus on team success and collaboration.
