About the position

The Service Sales Fire Systems Account Representative at Johnson Controls is responsible for promoting and selling Preventive Maintenance Agreements for various commercial building systems, including fire alarm, suppression, and security systems. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, developing sales strategies, and maintaining positive relationships to ensure long-term loyalty. Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Preventive Maintenance Agreements for commercial building systems products.
  • Determine customer needs and develop sales strategies to meet those objectives.
  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of service contracts.
  • Schedule sales calls and follow up on leads using outlined marketing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog.
  • Close sufficient sales to support achieving the designed sales plan objectives.
  • Support the service department in generating leads for service or equipment/device upgrades.
  • Conduct building surveys to support the development of estimates.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all sales-related activities.
  • Submit all required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity, and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Develop positive ongoing relationships with customers to ensure long-term loyalty.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of sales experience in a related business with a proven successful record of accomplishment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to persuade and close sales.
  • Ability to handle a variety of situations encountered during the sales process and work with limited supervision.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Available for local travel covering Wilmington, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC, and Charleston, SC.

Nice-to-haves
