About the position
The Service Sales Manager at Johnson Controls is responsible for leading the sales team within a designated field office. This role focuses on driving bookings growth, expanding customer relationships, and increasing service revenues to meet organizational objectives. The manager will oversee day-to-day sales activities, develop sales strategies, and ensure the team meets customer and sales goals while fostering a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the sales team in a designated field office.
- Drive bookings growth and expand customer relationships.
- Manage day-to-day activities of the Service sales team.
- Develop and execute sales strategies in collaboration with Area Sales and General Managers.
- Monitor sales performance and refine strategies as needed.
- Coach and train the sales force on products, marketing campaigns, and sales techniques.
- Build and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Grow and retain recurring revenue and associated service revenue.
- Meet with key clients to enhance relationships and close deals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, including 3 years in field sales management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume sales team.
- Strong project management skills and experience selling at all customer levels.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Proven time management and prioritization skills.
Nice-to-haves
- BA degree in Marketing.
- Five or more years of experience in the Fire Safety industry.
- Five or more years in a leadership role.
