About the position

The Service & Sales Representative at New York Sports Clubs is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for members and guests. This role focuses on member retention, satisfaction, and sales through effective communication and service delivery. The representative will engage with members, assist with inquiries, and promote club offerings while embodying the company's mission to improve lives through fitness.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming and safe environment for members and guests through high-level customer service.
• Contribute to overall sales, member retention, and satisfaction through interactions with members and guests.
• Model and promote the NYSC mission and values with pride and integrity.
• Deliver a legendary member experience by consistently providing high-quality service.
• Enroll new members and explain membership terms and offers.
• Maintain full knowledge of club offers and ancillary services to facilitate sales.
• Answer phones and assist guests/members with inquiries regarding memberships and billing.
• Perform routine member service tasks using club systems, including account management and POS transactions.
• Address member feedback and complaints, escalating issues to management as necessary.
• Assist management with administrative tasks, including billing calls and appointment confirmations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the check-in desk and main entrance area.
• Conduct periodic walkthroughs of the club to ensure facility presentation and address maintenance issues.
• Communicate new promotions and services effectively to members.

Requirements

• 1+ years of prior gym experience in a member-facing role or customer service role preferred.
• Experience working with computer systems and navigating work screens.
• Child & Adult CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to proficiently use POS and membership systems.
