Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking to hire a talented and growth-minded individual to join our team as a Service Special Projects Technician 1. This position is integral to our operations, focusing on the installation, startup, and commissioning of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. In this role, you will assist with various tasks related to HVAC installations, including following company safety requirements, adhering to manufacturer specifications, and ensuring proper installation of equipment. You will work with manual dampers, ductwork, refrigerant lines, and HVAC equipment such as split systems and rooftop units. Additionally, you will assist with wiring, pre-measuring jobs, and completing job documentation accurately and timely. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, ensuring that all projects meet deadlines and specifications. Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of commercial/industrial HVAC equipment.
  • Follow and adhere to all company safety requirements and processes.
  • Assist with installation per manufacturer specifications and company policies, including manual dampers and supporting hardware.
  • Install flex and sheet metal ductwork and associated duct fittings in light commercial and residential buildings.
  • Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering.
  • Assist with HVAC-related equipment including split systems and rooftop units up to 20 tons.
  • Assist with wiring of both low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment.
  • Assist in pre-measuring jobs to determine material required for installation.
  • Ensure proper installation of gas line connections to heating equipment.
  • Accurately complete required job documentation in a timely manner.
  • Work with other team members and departments to meet job/project deadlines and specifications.

Requirements

  • Must hold a Universal Refrigerant Certificate or be willing to obtain it.
  • HVAC Installation experience is a plus.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is required.
  • Ability to work on a team and interact with people effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Must have the ability to travel to job sites.
