The Service Specialist - Client Support role at Paychex involves providing customer service for the HireRight background check service. This position requires a moderate level of guidance and is focused on maintaining good customer relations, resolving claims and complaints, and building knowledge of Paychex products and processes.

  • Delivers quality service to Paychex clients utilizing the HireRight system for background checks/screening.
  • Interacts with clients via phone, email, chat, and other communication avenues.
  • Follows up on outstanding items to ensure completion in compliance with established Service Level Agreements.
  • Develops and maintains an intermediate working knowledge of Paychex products and industry policies and procedures.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and collaborates with leaders to implement changes.
  • Demonstrates intermediate skill level with systems and software packages, including HRIS, Salesforce, Flex, Core Advanced, and ORS.
  • Documents all interactions with clients.
  • Serves as a mentor for less experienced teammates.
  • Performs data input while maintaining strong prioritization and organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Mid-level experience in customer service or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Competitive hourly pay ranging from $17.85 to $28.04.
