This includes greeting and engaging with customers, assisting them with their needs, and ensuring that the store environment is clean and safe. You will also be involved in routine cleaning tasks, collecting shopping carts, performing price checks, and assisting clerks during busy times to ensure efficient service. The position requires a strong team player who is willing to learn, work hard, and enjoy the process of providing excellent customer service. The work environment is fast-paced and requires continuous walking, standing, reaching, and bending. You will be exposed to both indoor and outdoor conditions, with varying temperatures. Responsibilities
- Provide a remarkable shopping experience for customers by greeting and engaging with each customer, offering assistance, and being approachable and friendly.
- Perform store sweeps, focusing on front-end and entrance areas to ensure a safe environment for customers and co-workers.
- Routine and daily cleaning of registers and belts, emptying check stand trash cans, and dusting and facing shelves.
- Collect all shopping carts from the parking lot, maintaining a cart-free lot throughout your shift.
- Perform price checks and assist with returning items to their correct locations, prioritizing perishables.
- Assist clerks in moving lines quickly during busy times by bagging groceries efficiently while protecting the quality and condition of items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- No experience required!
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Continuous walking, standing, reaching, and bending.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Strong team player with a willingness and desire to learn, work hard, and have fun!
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
