About the position

The Service Tech 1 position at Rite-Hite Company involves installing, maintaining, and repairing loading dock equipment and industrial doors at customer facilities. This role serves as a primary contact for customers and requires independent work in a field service environment, often in small teams. The technician will also act as a technical resource for both customers and the sales force.

Responsibilities

• Install loading dock equipment and industrial doors at customer facilities.
• Maintain and repair loading dock equipment and industrial doors.
• Act as a technical resource for customers and the sales force.
• Work independently or in small teams in a field service environment.
• Provide excellent customer service during service calls.

Requirements

• Experience in welding and working with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Prior experience in the repair or installation of industrial equipment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a field environment.
• Good customer service skills are required.
• Ability to work outdoors and at heights.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and DOT physical.
